The Marriage Bargain (Marriage to a Billionaire, #1) by Jennifer Probst

The Marriage Bargain (Marriage to a Billionaire, #1)The Marriage Bargain by Jennifer Probst
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Cover & Title - 4/5
Favorite line - “It’s always been you.” He paused as if to be sure she heard and understood the words. Intensity gleamed within amber depths. He gripped her fingers, as if trying to speak beyond words.
“And it will always be you.”
Favorite Character - Alexa

I think this book was a solid 3.5, i marked it up because i felt it deserved it. I think the story-line was corny & predictable but it was a sweet & easy read. I read it and few hours & felt happy after i finished it (which is just what i was looking for). The book is never going to win prizes but it isn't a bad book. If you are into this sort of story-line (rich man/poor girl) then i think you will enjoy it.

I would recommend the book & will consider reading more by this author

Daisy's Back In Town (Lovett, Texas, #1) by Rachel Gibson

Daisy's Back In Town (Lovett, Texas, #1)Daisy's Back In Town by Rachel Gibson
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Cover & Title - 4/5
Favorite lines - “Mom," Nathan called to her. Daisy pulled her gaze from the tent and the fleeting glimpse of Jack's bare back, the smooth planes and indent of his spine, the sliver of the white elastic just above the blue waistband of his jeans..."Hmm?" "What's a faaar ant?" he asked just above a whisper. "Fire." She chuckled and shook her head. "Fire ant. They have a nasty bite that burns." Nathan smiled. "Well, why didn't he just say fire?" "He thinks he did.”
Favorite Character - Lily

My favorite things about this book
1. Lily, she really made me laugh. I felt bad for her too but mostly her behavior & dialog made me giggle.
2. Nathan questioning Jack about sex, I have children & i must say i am not looking forward to this discussion. The questions Nathan asked, oh jeeze that my son's never ask me them.
3. The sex scene were hot. The chemistry & sexual tension between Jack & Daisy was fantastic.

I did enjoy this story & it made me laugh quite a few times. The thing was because i recently read a book with a similar story-line i didn't enjoy it as much as i think i would of if i had read the other book. I found this story really easy going & a joy to read. I like the way the author writes & her characters seemed well developed.

I would recommend this book & I plan on reading more by this author.

Truly Madly Yours (Truly, Idaho, #1)Truly Madly Yours by Rachel Gibson
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Cover & Title - Cover 1/5, seriously it totally put me off reading this. Title 4/5.
Favorite line - "I have loved you my whole life, Delaney. I can't remember a day when I didn't love you. I loved you the day I practically knocked you out with a snowball. I loved you when I flattened the tires on your bike so I could walk you home. I loved you when I saw you hiding behind the sunglasses at the Value Rite, and I loved you when you loved that loser son of a bitch Tommy Markham. I never forgot the smell of your hair or the texture of your skin the night I laid you on the hood of my car at Angel Beach. So don't tell me I don't love you. Don't tell me--" His voice shook and he pointed a finger at her. "Just don't tell me that.”
Favorite Character - Nick

I think throughout almost the entire book i wanted to punch Nick so it is crazy he ended up being me favorite character. I hate players & cheaters but yet something made me love him as much as i hated him, you could tell Delaney felt the same way. You can tell i totally got into the book since i am acting like they are real people :) I loved the book, the story was ridiculous but funny & spunky. It was an easy read with loads of laughs along the way. I loved the writing, characters & the ending.

I would recommend this book & plan on reading more by this author.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Cover & Title - 4/5
Favorite line - "I don't know the right way to say this stuff, Tessa, but ... you're the best thing that's happened to me. I've never felt like this before, I've never ... been happy like this."
Favorite character - Tessa

I haven't read the rest of the books in the series but after reading this i really want too.
I loved this book. Tessa & Lucky <3 aww. I was so happy they got together & stayed together. I smiled so many times while reading this book.

My favorite things about the book
1. Lucky appearance - I love a tattoo man & lucky was a super sexy tattoo'd biker stud. *purrr*
2. Lucky's new improved attitude - I thought Lucky was a fantastic character with lots of depths & strong emotion. I loved his attitude towards Tessa, he was amazing looking after her & helping her feel alive. I also loved that he owned up to his past & stepped up to the plate.
3. The cats names made me smile.
4. The sex scenes in a book such as this can sometimes be dull or disappointing but they certainly weren't. They were hot, sexy & at times really romantic.

I would recommend this book & i plan on reading more by this author.

Sweet Spot (Richmond Rogues, #5)Sweet Spot by Kate Angell
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Cover & Title - 3.5/5, the cover doesn't link in for the book to me at all.
Favorite Character - Cat

I haven't read any other book in this series but i still managed to get into this book. I think if i had read the others then i might of liked it more but it was fine as a standalone book. It seemed more like two short stories in one book than one entire book, it covered both Law & Brody in it. The story was interesting & the sexual tension between Law & Cat was hot. I wanted to slap Brody more than anything, he was a total douche-bag - i would of killed him if he was my fiancee. I was glad how the ending worked out for both couples. The epilogue was nice as it covered the entire series, i think if i had read the rest i would of been super pleased how everyone's life worked out.

I would recommend this book (especially if you have read the rest!) & i plan on reading more by this author :)

Angel's Rest (Eternity Springs, #1)Angel's Rest by Emily March
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I did enjoy this book but i found it a little dull, i think i have been reading to many romantic suspense books recently to appreciated this sort of mellow romance. I also think i might be over exposed to dirty *wink* since i found myself missing a sex scene.
I think that if you are looking for a reasonably easy & sweet read then this is for you, it has angst & drama from Gabe's past. No action however & to be honest very little does actually happen. This doesn't mean it was boring, it wasn't - it just wasn't what i was looking for.

Rock Chick Renegade (Rock Chick, #4)Rock Chick Renegade by Kristen Ashley
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Cover & Title - 3/5
Favorite line -"Jesus, you think you’re fuckin’ Catwoman”, he muttered.
“I do not. Catwoman wore a leotard and stupid ears and fake claws. That’s just silly."
Favorite character - Vance

Oh my freaking god, I loved this book! This is my favorite rock chick so far.

My favorite things -
1. Law - She was such a fantastic character! I loved everything about her, from her job to her attitude. She made me laugh so many times & other time made me proud (can you be proud of a fictional character? because I sure was.)
2. Vance - wow that man is hot, he was just how i hoped he would be when he got his own book. I loved him at the end more than anything.
3. The secondary characters - as always with a KA story the story was greatly enhanced by the fantastic secondary characters. I loved Roam & Sniff too, especially when Roam gets protective of Jules/Law.

I love an alpha male who takes charge & kicks ass but it was great reading about Law who was able to take care of herself. I really enjoy the story, loads of action & interest.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Cover & Title - *whit whoo* 4.5/5
Favorite Character - Sage

My favorite things about the book -
1. Sage was a super kick-ass female, my favorite kind.
2. Sage had a rough past but made something of her life & constantly tried to make her and those around her life's better.

This was a easy read, romantic suspense with drama & gun fights. I enjoyed the story & the way it played out. I thought the ending could of been better but *shrug* i do love a happy ending. Anthony was a strong sexy alpha who appeared to really connect with Sage, the emotions & dialog between them seemed realistic. I liked Sage a lot, her character made the strong for me.

I would recommend this book & i plan on reading more by this author.

Laid Bare (Brown Siblings, #1)Laid Bare by Lauren Dane
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Cover & Title - 4/5
Favorite Character - Erin

Holy kink-fest batman!

My favorite things about the book -
1. Erin appearance she was alternative in her dressing and with have tattoo's & piercings. I find these things very attractive.
2. Erin went through a lot of heavy things but before the reunion & during the book worked through them. She was a really strong & impressive character.
3. The story had a tonne of smoking hot sex but also had a really good deep story.
4. Todd after the reunion was awesome, i totally loved that he wanted to be himself & his attitude/behavior with Erin was sexy as hell.

I am a pretty vanilla type of girl so this book really took me out of my comfort zone. It was really interesting when the relationship turned into a 3 way, it wasn't something i has every imagined really working but it seemed to work in the book. It actually came across very realistic. I also have only read a few BDSM style books so this was pretty kinky for me. It wasn't overtly kinky so i could read it comfortably.

If you are wondering there is no M/M intercourse. There is no anal sex in the book. The M/M scenes are very few & they do not go far.

I would recommend this book & i will read more by this author.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Cover & Title - 3.5/5
Favorite Line - "Do you want to know why men name their penis? So the most important decisions in their life aren't made by a stranger."
Favorite Character - Faith

My favorite things about this book -
1. Faith, she has a shitty life but never gives up & she achieves so much with her life regardless.
2. The sex scenes, they are super steamy. The author really manages to make you live & breath the passion along with the leads.
3. I like that the story included some secondary characters, it was really interesting reading their feelings along with the leads.

My least favorite things about this book -
1. Gray, oh jeeze what an asshole. I really wish he had done more to win Faith over because i never forgave him in the end.
2. There should of been an epilogue, it would of MADE this book. Seriously the ending was fine but an epilogue would of added a star for me.

I would recommend this book & i plan on reading more by this author.

Dangerous Passion (Dangerous, #3) by Lisa Marie Rice

Dangerous Passion (Dangerous, #3)Dangerous Passion by Lisa Marie Rice
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Cover & Title - 5/5
Favorite Character - Drake

Even though this book is in a series it is a stand alone book. It is a very sexy book. I enjoyed it as much as Midnight Man, maybe even more. Drake is a super strong alpha male with wicked sex appeal. Grace is a meek but beautiful artist. The story-line is interesting enough to be a good read but it is the sex & passion between the leads that is the main hook. The book has its faults but for me they weren't annoying enough to detract from the story.

My favorite things about the book,
1. Drake love's Grace's pictures before he loves her bod.
2. Drake's attitude towards Grace
3. The ending <3 HEA

I would recommend this book.

Favorite Character - Lash

Wow this book is sweetness incarnate. Seriously i was clapping my hands & squealing in delight when i read the ending. I am so pleased I read this book. It was a fantastic pick me up. It is a book version of a hug.

My favorite things about this book
1. the secondary characters, they (as in every KA book i have read) make the book so amazing
2. the emotion between Ivey & Grey, the way it is written makes it so believable and the dialog between them at times is swoon worthy.
3. The epilogue/ending, i am addicted to a KA epilogue - seriously every book i have read recently that didn't have a HEA or a epilogue has disappointed me.

For You (The 'Burg, #1) by Kristen Ashley

For You (The 'Burg, #1)For You by Kristen Ashley
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Cover & Title - 4/5
Favorite Character - Feb

I enjoyed this book, it wasn't my favorite KA book i have read but it wasn't my least favorite either. The main thing's that put my off it were the lead, February's age (42) & i am not that into reunion romances. The reason her age bothered me even a little is because I see 42 year old woman every day & none look as fine as Feb sounded. I think if i was older than 24 then her age wouldn't seem as big to me but because of my age i do actually find it hard to imagine Feb & all the attention she gets. I know it sound trivial but it's my review so i am being honest. The reason reunion romances annoy me is because as i have mentioned before i am a cynic.
The thing's which i did enjoy about this book are the characters; as always in a KA book all of the characters play a huge part in the book, it is never just the leads that make the story. The dialogue between the leads was so heartfelt & loving that it made me want to sigh contently at times. I also liked the way things worked out in the end, i am a huge fan of HEA so this book really hit the spot.
The back-story was interesting I was intrigued the entire way through. There were surprises & twists in the story which helped keep me guessing as to how it would all go down.

I would recommend this book & i have already downloaded the next book in the series to start tomorrow.

Show me, Show me

So i am trying to choose what book to read today & i decided to procrastinate by posting a blog :) I figured since i have posted a favorite list that i could post a dislike list so here is goes.

I dislike books that have - time travel, aliens, characters with obtuse names, vampires/angels who are hundreds of years older than the character which they fall in-love with, people falling in-love with a ghost, anything remotely historical in them, 16 year old's getting turned into vampires - just wait till they are 21! (so they don't forever look like a child), female leads who are wusses, unprotected sex in YA books & finally, virginal girls who turn into total sluts during the course of the book.

What grates on you during reading a book?

Dirty by Megan Hart

DirtyDirty by Megan Hart
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I spent most of the day engrossed in this book.
The utter self-loathing which Elle feels is not apparent at first, the book start's in a eazy breezy way but then continues into such bleakness. I was surprised by the way the story went, i did not read many reviews about the book so i was unprepared for such monstrousness. I have such strong feelings towards rape & abuse so this book was really hard to read at parts.
Dan is like a breath of fresh air in Elle's life, the silver lining in her life.
Such a meaningful book that contains so much sex is strange but amazing. It is such an interesting book.

I would recommend this book.

Favorite Character - Marigold.

I wanted to read books by both authors which is why i decided to buy this book. I figured this way i would get a taste of both of their writing styles. I am glad i did as i loved the book :)
It was an emotional roller-coaster of a story. I don't think i realized how deep this book would end up being. It is far more than just a summer read. It is more like a journey - whit's journey to happiness. the characters are awesome, even the secondary character play a huge part in the story. I laughed out loud a few times while reading this book, Marigold was the main reason for this. I wish Marigold was my mum :)

So i debated if i should leave a bad review or not, to be honest i would rather only post good reviews. The reason i am posting this is because i hate spending money on a dud & i am sure you do too. I must say I am really surprised this made the NY Times best seller list.
This entire book is mind-numbingly flat. The characters are annoying, at points they are totally obtuse. The chemistry is tepid at best. The story-line is a farce & it is actually rather annoying. The fighting that occurs in the book is a feeble attempted to force passion into a dull story. I think i would get more horny reading the bible than i would reading this book.

I would not recommend this book.

This book is H.O.T.
The characters are sexy, the story-line is intense & the chemistry is electric. The first time the leads have sex it is mind-blowingly sexy, an actual sexy sex scene is hard to find but this book had them by the dozen. You can feel the tension between the characters like it is your own. I blinked & this book was done, it was depressing - i wanted more! I totally ignored my life for 2 hours & got totally immersed in the story.

The ending totally ruined it for me, I don't actually think i have ever been so disappointed in an ending of a book before. Seriously i wasn't even hoping for a HEA but just something more? What a total fucking cock tease of a book. The writing was fantastic, the editing perfect & the story totally new, refreshing & interesting.
So no i wouldn't recommend this book as i wouldn't want anyone to be as unsatisfied & frustrated as i am.

Cover & title - 4/5
Favorite line - “No one should have to go through life with only half a heart,”
Favorite Character - Alix

My emotional kryptonite consist of abuse, rape & babies - guaranteed i will be crying buckets if these are included in a book. This book was a triple threat so I was a total mess. At one point i thought my husband was going to choke me because of it, he was constantly saying "you are crying again!?"
The whole book had me riveted, i could not put it down. The emotion's in this book are so overwhelming. Alix's devotion towards Nick was so beautiful. I was so melancholy for almost the entire second half of the story. I was also enraged, I don't think i have ever felt so strongly towards a book. When the ending came it was mind-blowing, surprise after surprise. I was elated by the way things turned out in the end.
This book was magnificent.

Big Sky Country (Swoon-Worthy Cowboys #1)Big Sky Country by Linda Lael Miller
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Cover - 3.5/5
Favorite character - Joss

The book was a mindless easy afternoon read. It had a hot horseman (who was also a swoon worthy sheriff) & woman who was trying to right past wrongs as the leads. The story was not particularly interesting, it did not seem to go anywhere. Considering I just read it & it was almost 400 pages long you would think i would be able to remember something memorable from it but i cant - I don't really think anything did happen in it. It reminds me of a made for television daytime film, one that my mum would probably enjoy because it has a happy ending (she's 52). I didn't really get into the relationship so the ending seemed a bit of a joke *shrug* I know i am a cynic. It had two(i think) mild sex scenes which i didn't actually find that steamy.

I would say that if you got a chance to read this book for free (via library or kindle freebie or borrowing from a friend) & you have a few hours spare with nothing to do then i am sure you could read this & find it enjoyable. I personally wouldn't recommend spending any money on it as i think there are far better romance books out there (Kristen Ashley is an author who i would recommend).

Favorite Character - Grace

I really did not think i would enjoy this book even half as much as i did. When i started reading i was worried that i would hate Grace, thus hating the rest of the book. Grace is NOT my type of character at all - vain & weak (at the beginning at least). Her relationship with V & maybe even her entire life is dysfunction. As the story went on I liked G & V more and more. The flaws that they each had only made me like them more. The story had depth & emotion. The storyline was pretty bizarre, I know people have linked it to 50SoG but it is not the same (IMO) at all. The ending was great, i was trying to figure out where it was going for like 6 chapters & i was surprised but happy with it. In the end I totally loved Grace as well, i guess this is because she developed so much as the book went on.

I would recommend this book & I am planning on reading more by this Author.

Oh i totally loved this book. It had so many ups & downs, i was crossing my fingers that things would work out so many times. I cried twice while reading it & I laughed too many times to count. The story was awesome. I loved how they meet. You can totally feel the emotions between them throughout the book. The characters came across realistically, as did the interactions & dialog between them.
I have read a few celeb/non celeb pair up books over the past few days but i must say this is my favorite. It doesn't go over the top or seem totally farcical. I loved the ending & I am so looking forward to the next book coming out!

Oh jeeze, as frecking always KA rock's the romance world. Ah I don't even know what to write without repeating myself from like every review i have left for KA on her other fantastic books.
I loved Kia, she was fantastic & had my respect throughout the entire book. Sam wasn't as alpha as some of the other male leads from KA's other books so that was a nice change. Kia also did not get kidnapped - i read in a review of KA's book that the female always gets kidnapped, well apparently not :) As always KA has a way of writing lines that sink deep & really make you feel. Sometimes she is like a poet. Oh and her epilogue's are like awesomesauce, seriously - you will not find better.

I loved the ending that totally made the book i was getting so worried that the author was going to balls it up somehow with Adam but she came through. He made the end so special.

Ugh I wish i could of given this book 3.5 as it wasn't a 3 for me but a 4 was too high in my opinion.

Cover - It is pretty 4/5.
Favorite Line - “He seems like a man who knows what he wants, and the problem is he wants what I want.”
Favorite Character - Marcus

I felt sorry for Sadie quite a lot during this book, i think that kind of ruined it for me? I didn't actually like Jax that much until just before the book finished. Marcus made the book for me, now he is who i would of wanted to be with. I thought for such a tiny book there was a lot squashed in so that was good. I liked the way it was written & it seemed edited well. I just think that i didn't enjoy the story that much - maybe i am a cynic but i couldn't imagine it ever working between them. *shrug*

I would recommend this book to some YA readers & I would consider reading another book by the author depending on the subject.

I just wrote yesterday morning about how reading a good book can stay with you a lifetime & sometimes even change your life. I think it is important to take chances in life, if you are unsure about a book (like i was with this one) what is the worse that can happen? You could waste a few hours of your life but(!) also you might find something you really love. This is a good book, it is one of those book which i have been talking about. This book will stay with you a lifetime.
I have had relatives die from cancer & my pop is currently struggling with it so as you can imagine this book really hit home.
This book isn't just a love story or just a book about death or a book about cancer - this book isn't just anything. It is so many emotions, layers, changes & actions rolled into one. It is a book about many things, including living.
The word/lines/poems - whatever they are called are breath taking. Colleen has a real gift.
I throughly enjoyed this book.

So this book did not do it for me, I cannot really explain why exactly but even from the start i just wasn't into it. I did not really think the sex scenes were that hot. I know i am lucky to have read a lot of really H.O.T romance books so maybe I just expect a lot. Also I know this isn't a big deal for some but anal play is so not my thing & this book has two scenes with it - so that was a downer.
The characters were interesting & they had a solid backstory with loads of drama between them. Even thought they like jumped in the sack within hours of meeting throughout the rest of the book the chemistry & emotions did build nicely.

I can see why some people would enjoy the book & since everyone digs different things i am sure there are loads of people who will love this book. I wont be me though.

Beautiful Disaster (Beautiful, #1) by Jamie McGuire

Beautiful Disaster (Beautiful, #1)Beautiful Disaster by Jamie McGuire
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Cover 3/5
Favorite Line - "I knew the second I met you that there was something about you I needed. Turns out it
wasn’t something about you at all. It was just you."
Favorite Character - Abby

I had this book on my wishlist for ages before i picked it up. I read loads of reviews about it, majority of them good reviews. It was the bad reviews that stopped me from reading it as soon as it came out, a few out them mentioned that Travis was a "total psycho" & to be honest after reading FSoG where the dude is a total psycho (IMO - fucking a look-a-like of your mother is not cool with me), i wasn't really up for that. Then like my entire Goodreads friends read this book & rated it high so i finally caved & got it. I am seriously glad i did.
I really do not think Travis was a psycho, i thought he was emotional & passionate. I personally know a lot of people who have reacted over the top when inlove & fighting with their beloved. I myself once (while drunk i must add) threw a high heel at my husbands (to-be at the time) head when his ex girlfriend kissed him on the cheek & he didn't understand why i was jealous.
I thought that the entire book was realistic (my college year were crazy too). I liked the story-line & the way it played out, I flat-out loved the ending. I really liked the crazy relationship between Abby & Travis, the highs & lows. The emotion between them was smokin' hot. The other characters really added to the story. I loved the book.

I would recommend this book & hope to read more by this author

Mystery Man (Dream Man, #1) by Kristen Ashley

Mystery Man (Dream Man, #1)Mystery Man by Kristen Ashley
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Favorite Lines - "Our relationship wasn’t easy. It wasn’t mellow. It wasn’t comfortable and sedate. He was too bossy and I was too much of a smartass. We bantered and sometimes we fought. But I’d learned I was completely unable to endure Hawk being mad at me and then I’d noticed that Hawk felt the same. No grudges were ever held. We created sparks but those sparks never caught the kind of fire that could do damage. Instead, we got over it and moved on" & "Mistress Blueballs"
Favorite Character - Gwen

This book was fan-freaking-tastic! Now if you have read my reviews recently you would see that i have reviews quite a few books by this author, every single book i have enjoyed & rated either 4 or 5 stars.
As always with Kristen's books there is action, humor, sex, love & smoking hot men. I laughed out load so many times, I was crying with laughter A LOT. I think this is my favorite KA book that i have read so far. The dialog between the lead characters is so intense. The emotion & build of feelings between them is mind blowing. KA know's how to write an amazing book. Also KA really knows how to end a book, seriously her epilogues are world class.
Also if you have read the Stephanie plum series you will totally LOVE Hawk as he reminds me a lot of Ranger.

I would recommend this book. I would recommend you read ANY book by Kristen Ashley.

Torn by Cat Clarke

Torn Torn by Cat Clarke
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Cover - 3.5/5
Favorite Line - “Jack, do you want to come with me? There's something I want to show you." Makes me sound like a pedophile ... do you want to come and see some puppies?
Favorite Character - Tara

This book had so many twists in it. Finding out what had happened & then discovering what really happened. Alice falling in love. The suicide. There is nothing simple about this story. It was an interesting story, the way it all played out was original. I really enjoyed the way it was written, it made the words just flow of the page. I loved Tara, perfect way to include her in the story.

I would recommend this book & I am planning on reading more in the series.

Lady Luck (Colorado Mountain, #3) by Kristen Ashley

Lady Luck (Colorado Mountain, #3)Lady Luck by Kristen Ashley
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Cover - :) 3/5
Favorite Lines - “Lady Luck finally saw fit to shine her light on me but life taught me to share. Welcome to the light.” & “Well shit! If she’s dead, how can I have a bitch smackdown with her?”
Favorite Character - Lex

So i loved the first book the this series, the second i enjoyed but not as much as the first & this book i love. It is as good as the first & better than the second.
I read the blurb for this book and i was unsure, i picked it up anyway after reading the other two books and wanting to see how this goes. I am normally a PR lover not a romance but these sexy strong mountain men are certainly entertaining :)
The great thing about this was that both leads are strong & kick-ass. Weakling's are not my thing. They have both had lots of drama & let downs in the past. The relationship through the books certainly is filled with steamy & firey passion. I loved the dialog & interactions between them. Ty was such a surprise & he certainly got a piece of my ebook <3.
I love how these book end with happy endings & give you loads of information in the epilogue about what happens in the future.

I would recommend this book & I am a Kristen Ashley fan for sure :)

View all my reviews Now if any of you are wondering why i did not review the second book it is because even though i did like it (and it links into this book) i had a busy weekend, forgot about it & now cannot be bothered. Ha :)

The Gamble (Colorado Mountain, #1) by Kristen Ashley

The Gamble (Colorado Mountain, #1)The Gamble by Kristen Ashley
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I just want to put it out there right now - If anything happens between my husband & I (i.e he dies/divorces me) I am going to take a trip to Colorado & see if i can find myself a mountain man. Yum. Also i am Scottish so my accent is so much better than an English one :)

Recommended for: Strong men lovers, Alpha male fans, Real romance lovers
Favorite Line - “Fucked her last night, man, and this morning. Five times. Five. It was like she hadn’t been touched in a decade. So fuckin’ sweet. Damn,” he taunted, his eyes locked on Niles. “You’ve had her, you gotta know, not enough money in the world’s worth that.”
Favorite Character - Max

Okay so i didn't think i was into men like Max until i read this book. I don't normally read romance novels that are not paranormal so i thought i would get bored pretty quickly but i didn't. I actually really enjoyed this book. Infact i thought it was fan-fucking-tastic. I liked the story, the characters, the emotion - i liked everything.

I would recommend this book & I plan on reading more by the author.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Recommended for: YA PR, PR, Fae Fans, Fairy fanatics

Favorite Line - "Your power is a living thing, just like you and all the parts that make you Faelorehn. Your lungs need oxygen, your stomach craves food. Your heart desires love."
Favorite Character - Cade

This book carried on 5 months after the last ended. It follow's Meghan through struggles with her feeling for Cade & trying to find her powers. You find out about Meghan parentage & more about the otherworld where she is from. You also discover huge secrets about Cade.
The book has loads of interesting characters from Celtic mythology. I enjoyed meeting the new characters in this book, I cannot wait to read more about them in the next book.
The romance is lovely in this book, a slow build up with real feelings. It is very realistic. There is just a few kisses so the book is suitable for all ages.
There is action in this book & i won't spoil it for you but i was on the edge of my seat the end of the book!
I am looking forward to reading the next book in the series & seeing how everything turns out :)

Mortal Kiss (Mortal Kiss #1) by Alice Moss

Mortal Kiss (Mortal Kiss, #1)Mortal Kiss by Alice Moss
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Recommended for: YA Shifter fans, YA PR,
Cover - I like it a lot. 5 of out 5.
Favorite Character - Faye

This book is wrote in the multiple point of view form. I found the idea's in the book interesting & i did enjoy the story. BUT! It did have sometime missing from it, i cannot put my finger on what but it was something important.
I like the characters in general. At times i found them quite vain & petty but i think that is the way they have been written to represent their ages. I certainly wasn't like them when i was 16 but some girls i knew were.
I think that i was too old for this book, i can see tween's & teens really enjoying this book.

(view spoiler)[I am still unsure how Faye & Finn could be inlove, it seemed to like appear out of nowhere. I guess i just found it too unbelievable. (hide spoiler)]

I would recommend this book to under 18's. I am not planning on reading anymore in the series.

Captive in the Dark (The Dark Duet, #1) by CJ Roberts

Captive in the Dark (The Dark Duet, #1)Captive in the Dark by CJ Roberts
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Cover - Perfect.
Favorite Character - Kitten

This book is fucking mind blowing. It is wrong on so many levels but I still loved it. I haven't ever read a story like this before. I think this story will stay with me for years. I found myself totally absorbed in it, i didn't stop reading once after i started it. The emotions were like fireworks constantly going off around me, I held my breath countless times during the story. The depth of depravity in the story is astounding, it scares me thinking about how things like this must really happen.

I would recommend this book & I cannot wait to read the next book.
